This is an easy, three-hour walk going past interesting water stations, such as the show rooms of the power stations in Latschau, a hidden source of sulphur, a remote controlled power station run by the VKW, small and large artificial lakes. The high Alpine road of the Silvretta takes the visitor along over 30 sharp bends up to the Bieler Heights (2,032 m) into the unique mountain landscape of the Silvretta lake, embedded in the Silvretta. Take this chance of making a boat trip on the lake, as it is Europe’s only public motor boat running at over 2000 m above sea-level.

In the summer, we always like taking our guests on a trip to our boss’ wife’s home area, where we hike together on the “Maisäss Garfülla”. A cheese noodle party with a glass of good local spirits, or a barbeque is waiting for us there. When the evenings get colder in the winter, you can occasionally experience the “stag rutting” ­you just need to be patient and lucky. We also like watching the manufacture of the famous mountain cheese the “Walser Pride”. An Alpine dairyman will explain how milk is made into cheese.

About 2 hours away, through the attractive and breathtaking Gau valley, or through the Golm (a magnificent ski resort in winter). Ideal for everybody ­ hikers, walkers or visitors. A popular mountain rescue post. Take the opportunity of finding out about the multitude of Alpine flora that is so worth protecting. Tours through the Alpine garden can be booked.

The "Drei Türme" ("Three Towers") mountains can be seen from here. They separate the Montafon from the Brandner valley and offer a really impressive view.
